Guided cultural tours are the key to getting the most out of Fethiye's rich history and natural beauty. With a professional guide you don't just see the sights: you hear the history, culture and natural forces behind each place, which makes the day far more rewarding.

Why Take a Guided Cultural Tour in Fethiye?
At Prime Turist we offer a wide range of tours around Fethiye, so you can choose the day that suits you best. On a guided cultural tour you can reach hidden corners of the region, get to know the local culture up close and still have plenty of fun along the way.
One of the biggest advantages of a guided tour is that you can enjoy your holiday without worrying about safety or logistics. Guides know the best routes, are ready for changes in the weather and can deal quickly with any emergency. They also share local knowledge that helps you see the real Fethiye.
Tip: guided tours are the best choice if you're visiting Fethiye's ancient cities and natural sites for the first time. Your guide explains the details and answers your questions, so the day means much more.
Ancient City Tours from Fethiye: Hierapolis and Pamukkale
Ancient city tours from Fethiye are a must for history lovers. The ancient city of Hierapolis and the travertine terraces of Pamukkale are listed together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and hold thousands of years of history. The tour leaves from Fethiye with a professional guide and takes you deep into the world of antiquity.
Pamukkale's white travertines are one of the most spectacular natural sights in the world. Formed by thermal water over thousands of years, these white terraces still amaze visitors today. On a guided tour you'll hear how the travertines formed, why they are so white and how they and Hierapolis fit together.
Hierapolis sits just above Pamukkale and was an important city in Roman times. Its theatre, temples, tombs and baths still take you back through the centuries, and your guide explains their architecture, purpose and history. The theatre, which seated around 15,000 people, is still magnificent today.
Prime Turist's Pamukkale tour from Fethiye takes about 13 hours: pick-up is at 06:00, and lunch and entry to Hierapolis and the travertines are included. With your guide you'll find the quieter corners, the best photo angles and the story behind each site. Swimming in the Antique Pool (Cleopatra's Pool) is optional: the thermal water is around 35°C and entry isn't included in the price.
In short: ancient city tours from Fethiye combine history and nature perfectly. Seeing Hierapolis and Pamukkale with a guide is the best way to appreciate what makes them so special.
Kaş, Kalkan and Patara: A Day on the Lycian Coast
Our Kaş & Kalkan tour from Fethiye fits some of the best of the Lycian coast into a single day. With a guide you visit Kalkan, Kaputaş Beach, Kaş and the ancient city of Patara; hotel pick-up, the guide and lunch are included.
The first stop is Kalkan, known for its narrow streets and small harbour, with time for a stroll and photos.
Next comes Kaputaş Beach, a turquoise cove where a canyon meets the sea, for a swim stop. Entry to the beach isn't included in the price.
Lunch is in Kaş, followed by free time around the harbour. Kaş is built on the ancient city of Antiphellos, and in town you can see Lycian sarcophagi and a small ancient theatre.
The last stop of the day is Patara, one of the leading cities of the Lycian League. You tour the ancient city and swim off its long sandy beach; Patara beach entry is included. The beach is also a nesting site for loggerhead turtles (Caretta caretta).
Good to know: the Kaş & Kalkan tour runs on Saturdays from April to October. Pick-up from Ölüdeniz is at 08:30; for other areas we send your pick-up time by WhatsApp after booking. Bring swimwear, a towel and some cash for the Kaputaş entry.
Where Nature Meets Culture: The Dalyan Tour
Dalyan, not far from Fethiye, is famous for its natural beauty and historic sites. The guided Dalyan tour takes you to İztuzu Beach, the King's Tombs of Kaunos, the mud baths and the home of the Caretta caretta turtles: a perfect blend of nature and culture.
İztuzu Beach is protected as a nesting site for Caretta caretta turtles. You can swim here while your guide explains how the turtles are protected; if you're lucky, you might spot one of these rare animals and learn about their life cycle. Entry to the beach isn't included in the price.
The King's Tombs are among the region's most important historic monuments. As the boat winds through the reeds of the Dalyan channel, your guide tells you about their architecture, who they were built for and why they matter. Carved into the cliff face, the tombs have survived for well over two thousand years.
The mud baths at Sultaniye are one of Dalyan's biggest draws. The natural mud is said to be very good for the skin, and you smear it on yourself. Your guide explains how to use it, so you can enjoy this natural spa safely.
The Dalyan tour starts in the morning and includes lunch. Guides also explain how to respect the local ecosystem; when it comes to the Caretta caretta turtles in particular, they stress the importance of keeping quiet and never disturbing them.
In short: the Dalyan tour lets you discover history while learning about nature conservation. It's not just a fun day out but an educational and responsible way to travel.
Cultural Days with a Dose of Adventure
Saklıkent Jeep Safari: Nature and History Together
The Saklıkent jeep safari is one of Fethiye's most popular adventure trips. Riding in open jeeps along mountain and forest tracks, you get a day full of adrenaline and a close look at the region's natural beauty, while your guide tells you about the local plants and wildlife.
Along the way you stop at the ancient city of Tlos, Saklıkent Gorge, Gizlikent Waterfall, Yakapark and a mud bath. At Saklıkent you wade through the ice-cold water of the gorge while the guide explains its geology, water sources and history. The cooling-off stop at Gizlikent Waterfall is a highlight for nature lovers.
The jeep safari starts with pick-up from your hotel at around 08:30, and you're dropped back between 18:00 and 19:00. Expect water fights from the jeeps, muddy tracks and plenty of time in nature. The guides take safety very seriously and make sure everyone can join in at their own level.
Tip: for the Saklıkent jeep safari, wear clothes you don't mind getting wet and bring a change of clothes and water shoes. Entry fees (Saklıkent, Tlos, Yakapark, Gizlikent) aren't included, so carry some cash, and a waterproof phone pouch is a good idea.
12 Islands Boat Trip: Bays and Islands
The 12 Islands boat trip is the ideal way to explore Fethiye's most beautiful bays and islands. This full-day trip takes you to Göcek Island, the Yassıca Islands, Kızılada and Aquarium Bay, with 4–5 swim stops through the day, and you'll hear about each place along the way.
Kızılada is known for its sandy beach and shallow, clear water, and the shallow bays of the Yassıca Islands are ideal for families with children. At the swim stops you can jump into crystal-clear water and go snorkelling.
Aquarium Bay, with its clear water and plenty of fish, is one of the best stops for snorkelling. Göcek Island, with its calm, pine-fringed coves, is the first swim stop of the day.
Pick-up is between 09:00 and 09:45, the boat leaves at 10:00 and you're back between 17:00 and 18:00. Lunch on board is included and drinks are sold on the boat. The guide and crew talk about sea life and fish species and about respecting the marine environment, and if the weather changes they may adjust the route for your safety.
In short: the 12 Islands boat trip is the most efficient way to see Fethiye's finest stretches of sea in one day, with the story and nature behind each island explained along the way.
Scuba Diving: Fethiye's Underwater World
Our scuba diving trips are for anyone who wants to explore Fethiye's underwater world with an instructor. You don't need any experience, or even to be able to swim; every dive is led by professional diving instructors.
On the full-day diving trip from Fethiye you make two dives, at Aquarium Bay and Tarzan Island. You'll see many kinds of fish and the variety of life under the sea, and the instructors make sure the safety rules are followed throughout. Friends or family who don't want to dive can come along as non-divers and swim in the bays.
Pick-up is between 08:30 and 09:00, and two dives, lunch on board and hotel pick-up are included. If you'd like something shorter, there's also a 3-hour trip in Ölüdeniz with one 20–30 minute dive (sessions at 09:00, 12:00 and 14:00). The instructors tell you about life under the sea and why protecting the marine environment matters.
Note: the Fethiye diving trip is for guests aged 14 and over, and the Ölüdeniz dive for guests aged 12 and over. The underwater photo and video package costs extra. If you have any health conditions, let us know before booking; instructors go through the safety rules in detail before every dive.
Rhodes Day Trip and Horse Riding
Rhodes Day Trip: By Ferry to the City of the Knights
Our Rhodes tour takes you by ferry from Fethiye to the Greek island of Rhodes for the day. The ferry leaves Fethiye at 08:25 and the crossing takes about 1.5 hours. You have the whole day free on Rhodes, and the main sights are Rhodes Castle, the Street of the Knights and Mandraki Harbour.
The walled old town of Rhodes was built by the Knights of St John, who ruled the island in the Middle Ages, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking along the cobbled Street of the Knights, just a few hours from Fethiye, feels like stepping into a completely different chapter of history.
You'll need your passport. If you hold a UK, EU or US passport and are visiting for a short stay, no visa is needed; other nationalities may need a Schengen visa, so please check before booking. We don't arrange visas.
Your ferry ticket and hotel pick-up and drop-off are included; the €8 per person port tax, food and drink and any visa fees are not. With a same-day return ticket, the ferry back leaves Rhodes at 16:30. The Rhodes tour runs all year, and if you'd like to stay on the island you can choose a one-way ticket or a return on a different day.
Tip: depending on where you're staying, pick-up is between 06:50 and 07:45. Check your passport's validity in advance, and wear comfortable walking shoes: there's no guide on Rhodes, so the day is yours to explore.
Horse Riding: Along Old Country Tracks
Horse riding is an ideal way to enjoy Fethiye's natural beauty at a calm, peaceful pace. Prime Turist's horse ride goes through the pine forests of Ovacık with a guide, and no experience is needed.
Horses were once the main means of transport and trade in this region. A guided horse ride keeps this traditional way of travelling alive while telling you about the area's history. The trails through the forest are the most beautiful part of the ride, and you feel completely at one with nature.
The horse rides don't go to Kayaköy. If you'd like to see the abandoned village, go on a separate day by car, taxi or dolmuş, or walk there along the Lycian Way path from Hisarönü or Ölüdeniz. Kayaköy was an important settlement in its day and is now an abandoned village. Discovering its history and why it was abandoned makes a lovely cultural day to add to your horse ride.
The horse ride takes about 3 hours in total, and you can choose a morning or afternoon session. Before you set off you're shown how to ride and briefed on safety, so even complete beginners can join in. The weight limit is 100 kg and children pay the full price. There's no transfer on this tour: we meet at the farm in Ovacık, and we send you the location by WhatsApp after booking.
In short: horse riding is the best way to discover Fethiye's nature and history at a gentle pace. Instead of adrenaline, it's about inner calm and connecting with nature.
Kayaköy is a Greek village that was abandoned after the 1923 population exchange between Turkey and Greece; today you wander its stone houses and churches on the hillside much as you would an open-air museum. The ground is stony and uneven, so wear comfortable shoes, and in summer early morning is both cooler and quieter.
